Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Engage Global Leaders at WEF in Riyadh

Islamabad, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is set to attend a special meeting of the World Economic Forum in Riyadh today, where he will discuss Pakistan’s stance on several key global issues.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister’s agenda includes presenting Pakistan’s views on global health, financial technologies, information technology, inclusive growth, regional cooperation, and balanced energy use within the framework of global development. Beyond these discussions, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has a full schedule of bilateral meetings lined up with international leaders. He is expected to meet the Emir of Kuwait, Mashal Al Ahmed Al Jabr, as well as Saudi ministers of finance, industry, and investment.

Additional high-profile meetings are on the books with the Co-Chairman of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, and the President of the Islamic Development Bank. The Prime Minister is also slated to engage with other world leaders and heads of major international organizations during the forum.

In a post on the social media platform X earlier today, the Prime Minister expressed anticipation for meaningful discussions on pressing global challenges at the event.
