Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Vows to Enhance Healthcare Services in Pakistan

Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has pledged to fortify health services across Pakistan, ensuring accessible and comprehensive care for the entire population. On the occasion of World Health Day, the Prime Minister outlined a strategy to boost health infrastructure and services, including the expansion of mobile health clinics and the enhancement of mental health care.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Sharif’s government is set to prioritize the development of healthcare facilities like Medical City, Cancer Care Hospital, and the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute in each province. Reflecting on past achievements, he highlighted the introduction of the Health Card program during the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) tenure from 2013 to 2018, aiming to achieve universal health coverage and insurance, especially for low and middle-income families.

Sharif commended the relentless efforts of health professionals, paramedical staff, nurses, and other health workers who tirelessly contribute to the nation’s healthcare system, emphasizing the government’s commitment to improving health services and ensuring well-being for all citizens.
