Prime Minister’s directives to be followed regarding 5th of August “Youm-E-Istehsal”

Islamabad, July 28, 2020 (PPI-OT): On completion of one year of Military Siege of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and to show solidarity with Kashmiri people, besides, highlighting the Indian unilateral illegal actions against Kashmiri people as well as the atrocities being carried out by Indian forces in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Prime Minister has directed that following changes in terminologies will be effective immediately, in lieu of “Youm-e-Istehsal” 5th of August, 2020, says a circular No. 2835/M/SPM/2020, dated 23.07.2020 issued by the Secretary to the Prime Minister: Name of the Day: 5th August has now been termed as Youm-e-Istehsal (English) and Ghasbana Qabza (Urdu).

The term Kashmir Siege Day may be used wherever and whenever deemed appropriate. The following terms may also be used on all TV Channels/Print Media/Banners and Posters/and SM campaigns with immediate effect: Approved Terminology: The following terminology has been approved by the Prime Minister for use on Kashmir issue henceforth: Terms to Use Terms Not to be Used IIOJK IOJK or IOK Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir or Indian Occupied Kashmir Illegal Action Illegal Annexation or Annexation Demographic Apartheid Demographic Re-engineering Military Siege Lockdown Economic Curtain All TV Channels / Radios, to play Pakistan and AJK national anthems immediately after one-minute silence on 5th August.

PTV and Private TV Channels to ensure that their presenters wear black solidarity bands, and Channel Logos are turned black to condemn Indian atrocities in IIOJK. Special Postage Stamps shall be issued on this occasion. For all communication on 5th August 2020, and beyond, the theme shall be “One Year of Indian Military Siege of IIOJK”, instead of use of the word “lockdown”.
