Punjab Police Allocates Funds for Personnel’s Medical Expenses

Lahore, In a compassionate move towards the welfare of its personnel, the Punjab Police, under the guidance of Inspector General Dr. Usman Anwar, has allocated an additional 11 lakh rupees to cover the medical expenses of officers in need. This decision was made during a meeting of the Welfare Management Committee at the Central Police Office, emphasizing the department’s commitment to the health and well-being of its members and their families.

According to Punjab Police, the allocation includes significant contributions to various officers across the province for critical medical treatments. Among the beneficiaries are the family of Constable Mohammad Rafiq (late) from Khanewal, whose son Rohail Rafiq received 03 lakh 62 thousand rupees for a kidney transplant, and retired Sub-Inspector Muhammad Sharif from Toba Tek Singh, who was granted two and a half lakh rupees for his wife’s liver tumor treatment.

Further allocations were made for Special Branch Constable Imtiaz Ahmad and Driver Constable Mehmood Rizwan for the medical treatments of their families, demonstrating the force’s holistic approach to personnel welfare. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has directed that such welfare measures continue and that the income generated from police welfare sources be utilized more effectively for the health, education, and overall welfare of the police force and their families.

This initiative reflects the Punjab Police’s dedication to supporting its members in times of need, ensuring that they and their families receive the necessary medical care and support.
