Saudi Investment Focuses on Pakistan as High Priority Economic Partner

Islamabad, Saudi Arabia has declared Pakistan a key economic, investment, and business priority, spotlighting the nation’s strategic importance and vast potential during the Pakistan-Saudi Arabia Investment Conference.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Saudi Deputy Investment Minister Ibrahim Almubarak emphasized Pakistan’s demographic advantages, strategic location, and rich natural resources as vital assets in fostering this priority status. The two-day conference in Islamabad serves as a platform to deepen mutual understanding and enhance bilateral investment opportunities.

The gathering highlighted Pakistan’s role as a major strategic partner, rooted in shared faith, cultural ties, and values. Almubarak expressed hopes for Pakistan to become a leading international partner for Saudi Arabia. He noted the significant contribution of about two million Pakistanis in Saudi Arabia to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, also present at the conference, outlined government initiatives to facilitate the private sector and attract foreign direct investment aimed at export-led growth. He shared optimistic details about the country’s economic trajectory, including a stable local currency, controlled inflation, and growing foreign exchange reserves.

The conference also addressed the collaboration potential in sectors like mining, minerals, tourism, and agriculture, with both nations looking to diversify their economies and add value. The presence of a high-level fifty-member Saudi business delegation underscores the commitment to exploring various investment opportunities and strengthening economic ties.
