According to Senate of Pakistan, the meeting was attended by key members including Senator Saadia Abbasi, Senator Manzoor Ahmed, and Senator Mir Dostain Khan Domki, as well as the Secretary of the Petroleum Division and senior officials from related departments. They discussed the status of oil and gas exploration over the past three years and scrutinized delays in drilling certain wells. Further discussions covered the recommendations regarding third-party sales in the Badin-IV South Block, highlighting issues caused by these transactions. A motion was put forward to suspend activities in the block until a detailed investigation could be conducted. Additionally, the development of the Ghurzandi village by MOL Company through CSR funds was scrutinized. The committee noted discrepancies in reported infrastructure developments, underscoring the need for political consensus to address the grievances of the local population effectively.
