Islamabad, July 18, 2023 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will launch the Prime Minister’s Youth Sports Initiative in Islamabad today for the development of sports across the country and to provide world-class sports facilities to the youth. Under this initiative, the Prime Minister will launch Sports Endowment Fund for the development of sports. The aim is to provide international standard facilities and prepare the athletes for international competitions. Apart from this, the Prime Minister will launch Pakistan’s first sports university in Islamabad, Elite Sportsperson Development Program for the best performing athletes and announce measures aimed at promotion of local sports as well as e-sports.
Later, the Prime Minister will launch a temporary registration system for the mobile phones of overseas Pakistanis. The Prime Minister will also perform the ground-breaking of Islamabad Special Economic Zone today. Aimed at providing opportunities to the local and foreign investors to establish industries, the zone is expected to generate more than ten thousand job opportunities.
