Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori Provides Personal Funds to Support Dharna Protesters

Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori has taken personal initiative to provide sustenance and support to Jamaat-e-Islami dharna protesters in Karachi, emphasizing that he views the demonstrators as his guests and feels it is his duty to serve them.

According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesori personally funded meals for the protesters, including parathas and tea for breakfast, and continued food support throughout Sunday. He clarified that these provisions were made using his personal finances, not public funds, and mentioned his practice of donating his salary to local welfare organizations like JDC and Selani Welfare Trust.

The Governor also encouraged the youth among the protesters to enroll in IT courses and offered assistance to those unable to work due to the sit-in, including access to free rations from the Governor House for their families. The protesters have expressed their gratitude for the Governor’s gesture of providing food, tea, and water, reflecting his commitment to their well-being during the demonstration.
