Karachi, Sep 05, 2011 (PPI): Sui Northern Gas Pipelines (SNGP) has decided to restore gas to the Industrial zone I comprising of Lahore, Sahiwal and Sheikhupura from Saturday at 1800 hrs and Industrial Zone II from Monday at 0600 hrs.
According to Alfalah Securities Limited, The gas would initially be restored to the two fertilizer plants present on the SNGP system while, another three fertilizer plants would be restored later. The gas consumption of Industrial Zone-I stands at 200 mmcfd which contributes to 60% of the total gas load.
The Annual Turnaround time (ATA) of the Qadirpur Gas Field has also been reduced to 8 days from earlier announced 20 days. The Ministry expects Qadirpur would also restore the shortfall of 400 mmcfd from Monday 5th September, 2011.
