Lausanne: Tetra Pak has announced the expansion of its homogenizer range with the introduction of the Tetra Pak® Homogenizer 15C and the Tetra Pak® Homogenizer 20C. This new line aims to provide manufacturers with more streamlined and efficient solutions, offering energy savings of up to 25% and reduced investment and maintenance costs.
According to a statement by Tetra Pak, the innovation centers around the HD21 homogenization device, which combines the traditional two-stage process into a single, compact machine. This integration allows manufacturers to conduct necessary homogenization processes and pressure adjustments within one device, effectively reducing energy consumption significantly compared to conventional devices.
Fiona Liebehenz, Vice President of Key Components Plant Solutions and Channel Management at Tetra Pak, emphasized that the new machines address the diverse needs of food and beverage producers. “By combining the first and second homogenization stages into a single device, we’ve created a flexible machine with fewer parts,” she noted, highlighting the importance of reduced initial investment and maintenance costs.
The new homogenizers offer a simplified setup with only two components, compared to the six found in traditional models. This reduction in complexity not only decreases upfront costs but also lowers ongoing maintenance requirements. Moreover, the design addresses the issue of asymmetrical wear of parts, allowing operators to extend the lifespan of components and further reduce maintenance expenses.
Tetra Pak’s new homogenizers are designed for easy integration into existing production lines, featuring a compact design and a straightforward setup. The technology enables desired homogenization at lower pressures, contributing to energy savings and improved operational efficiency for manufacturers.
