Turkish and Pakistani Army Chiefs Discuss Defense Collaboration and Regional Stability

Rawalpindi, Today, His Excellency General Metin Gurak, Chief of the Turkish General Staff, met with General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), at GHQ. The leaders focused on enhancing defense cooperation and initiatives to promote regional peace and stability.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, the discussions spanned a range of topics including defense, training, and collaborative efforts aimed at bolstering regional peace. The commitment to expand defense collaboration was a key agenda item, with both parties acknowledging the strong ties between their nations.

COAS emphasized the importance of advancing military cooperation between their armed forces. General Gurak praised Pakistan’s contributions to regional peace and its efforts in combating terrorism. The meeting began with a ceremonial tribute at Yadgar-e-Shuhada, where General Gurak laid a floral wreath, followed by a guard of honor presented by the Pakistan Army.
