U.S. Calls on Afghan Government to Curb Terrorist Activities from Its Territory

Islamabad: The United States has called on Afghanistan’s interim government to take decisive action to prevent terrorist attacks originating from its soil, emphasizing the shared security interests in the region.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a regular news briefing in Washington, U.S. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller expressed the United States’ concerns about regional security and the impact of terrorism on Pakistan. Miller highlighted the suffering of the Pakistani people due to violent extremists and terrorists, and reiterated the U.S. stance urging the Taliban-led government in Afghanistan to actively prevent any terrorist activities launched from Afghan territory.

This diplomatic push reflects the ongoing international efforts to address security challenges in the region and to ensure stability and peace.
