UAE and Pakistan Strengthen Ties in IT and Telecommunication Sectors

Islamabad, In a move to bolster technological cooperation, the UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, H.E. Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi, met with Pakistan’s Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja. The meeting focused on expanding collaboration in IT and telecommunications, emphasizing areas like digitalization, cybersecurity, and innovation.

According to Press Information Department, the discussions aimed to enhance mutual interests and cooperation between the two nations in the technology sector. The two sides agreed to increase collaboration, tapping into the potential benefits of advanced IT infrastructure and cybersecurity measures.

The meeting also saw the participation of key Pakistani officials, including Member IT Syed Junaid Imam and DG International Coordination Syed Jawwad Ali Sherazi, highlighting the importance of international partnerships in Pakistan’s strategy to upgrade its IT and telecommunication sectors.

This engagement is part of a broader effort by both countries to deepen ties and foster growth in technological fields, potentially leading to significant advancements in the region’s digital landscape.
