Defence Minister Asif Asserts National Support for Armed Forces Against External Threats

Sialkot: Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif today reaffirmed the nation’s unwavering support for the armed forces in their efforts to counter any adversarial plans against the country, emphasizing the need for unity and collective action to tackle national challenges.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, speaking with journalists in Sialkot, Minister Asif discussed the critical importance of national solidarity in the face of external threats. He recalled the events of May 9 last year, which he described as a significant public exposure to conspiracy and violence, attributing these issues to the divisive politics within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Further criticizing the PTI, Asif highlighted the internal discord and the cancellation of a public gathering by the PTI founder, which he interpreted as an acknowledgment of the event’s likely failure. The Defence Minister stressed the importance of self-reliance in transforming the nation’s future and underscored the role of parliamentarians, who he said are tested through electoral processes.
