Deputy PM Dar Discusses Bilateral Ties with Malaysian Counterpart in Istanbul

Istanbul, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Malaysia’s Foreign Minister, Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad Bin Haji Hasan, during the sidelines of the D-8 Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) meeting.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the ministers explored avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation in various areas of mutual interest, aiming to further strengthen the ties between Pakistan and Malaysia. The discussions also touched on collaborative efforts to uphold international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter.

The Malaysian Foreign Minister congratulated Deputy Prime Minister Dar on Pakistan’s recent election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, marking a significant diplomatic achievement for Pakistan. Both leaders expressed a mutual desire to continue their support and work closely within international forums.
