Developing World Needs Funding to Address Growing Energy Demands: Asim

New york: Pakistan says developing world needs funding to address growing energy demands. Delivering a national statement at a high-level launch event titled “Tracking SDG7: The Energy Progress Report 2025 and SDG7 Policy Briefs in Support of the HLPF 2025,” Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, urged the world to invest over 4.3 trillion dollars annually to meet energy and climate goals through 2030.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ambassador Ahmad highlighted the critical need for substantial financial investment to address the burgeoning energy requirements in the developing world. He emphasized that achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) related to energy and climate is contingent upon this significant financial commitment.
