Fauji Fertilizer Launches Innovative ‘Sona Boron DAP’ to Boost Pakistan’s Agriculture

Islamabad, Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited (FFCL), a leader in Pakistan’s fertilizer industry, unveiled its latest product, ‘Sona Boron DAP,’ today in Lahore. This new fertilizer is the first value-added di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) enriched with boron introduced in Pakistan, aimed at addressing the widespread boron deficiency in Pakistani soils and enhancing crop yields.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the launch event was attended by FFCL’s Senior Management, including Group General Manager Marketing FFC, Athar Javed. Javed highlighted that approximately 60% of soils in Pakistan are boron-deficient, which can significantly impede crop reproduction and fruit-setting stages. ‘Sona Boron DAP’ is engineered to provide a uniform distribution of boron in the soil, thereby increasing the nutrient’s efficiency and availability to plants.

The introduction of ‘Sona Boron DAP’ by FFCL is seen as a significant step towards modernizing agricultural practices in Pakistan. The company, known for its substantial contributions to national agricultural development, continues to support farmers with high-quality fertilizers and essential agronomic advice. This new product is expected to enhance crop health and productivity, offering a vital resource for Pakistan’s agricultural sector.
