German Delegation Discusses Climate Resilience Initiatives with Pakistan’s Climate Coordinator

Islamabad, A German delegation led by Sebastian Paust, Head of Development Cooperation at the German Embassy in Islamabad, met with Romina Khurshid Alam, the Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Climate Change, to explore cooperation on enhancing Pakistan’s climate resilience.

According to Press Information Department, the meeting centered on potential collaborations across various sectors to bolster Pakistan’s strategies for environmental sustainability and climate resilience. The discussions highlighted areas such as climate-resilient building, e-waste management, and integrating women into climate risk management, reflecting a shared commitment to tackling environmental challenges. Alam thanked the German team for their support and outlined her vision for leveraging international cooperation to advance Pakistan’s climate action goals, emphasizing the importance of sustainable development and disaster risk management in the country’s policy framework.
