Minister Ahsan Iqbal Sets Ambitious Goals for CPEC Phase Two

Islamabad: Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has issued directives for the rapid development of concept papers for five new corridors under the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a review meeting on CPEC, Minister Iqbal outlined the focus areas for the new corridors, which include growth, livelihood, innovation, green energy, and regional connectivity. He has set a deadline by the end of the current month for the completion of comprehensive documents on these corridors, which will then be presented to the Chinese leadership.

Additionally, the minister has given a 15-day timeline to all relevant ministries to submit their projects related to CPEC, aiming to expedite progress and enhance bilateral cooperation under the ambitious economic initiative.
