Kuwait, The fifth session of the Pakistan-Kuwait Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC), held from May 28 to 30, 2024, has marked a significant milestone in strengthening the cooperative relationship between the two nations. The session, chaired by Pakistan’s Minister for Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan and Kuwait’s Minister for Commerce and Industry Omar Saud Al-Omar, resulted in multiple agreements aimed at enhancing collaboration across a broad spectrum of sectors.

According to Press Information Department, discussions during the session led to the signing of several Memoranda of Understanding and agreements, particularly in the fields of industrial cooperation, engineering, and news exchange. Both countries have agreed to establish Joint Working Groups to further address trade, investment, and visa matters. Significant financial commitments were also made, including a loan agreement for the Mohmand Dam and potential funding for the Diamer Bhasha Dam and Kachhi Canal projects. The successful conclusion of the session has laid a robust foundation for future collaboration, with both nations reaffirming their commitment to a strengthened partnership and anticipating continued progress in diverse areas of mutual interest.
