Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Discuss Funding for Major Infrastructure Projects

Washington DC, Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Mr. Muhammad Aurangzeb, met with Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), to discuss ongoing and future collaborations, including significant infrastructure projects.

According to Press Information Department, during the meetings, Mr. Aurangzeb briefed Mr. Al-Marshad on his recent trip to Saudi Arabia and the reciprocal visit of a Saudi delegation to Pakistan. The discussions were marked by a mutual satisfaction with the progress of ongoing projects. The funding of major initiatives, such as the Diamir Bhasha Dam and the N-25 highway from Karachi to Chaman, were key topics. Additionally, Mr. Aurangzeb highlighted that Pakistan plans to present bankable and investable projects to Saudi investors, aimed at further enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries.
