Pakistan Navy Chief’s Strategic Meetings Bolster Defense Ties with Qatar

Doha, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf’s recent visit to Qatar marked a significant stride in strengthening defense relations and naval cooperation between Pakistan and Qatar. During his trip, Admiral Ashraf engaged in pivotal discussions with the Chief of Staff of the Qatari Forces and the Commander of the Qatari Amiri Naval Forces, focusing on bilateral naval cooperation, matters of mutual interest, and regional maritime security.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, the Chief of Pakistan Navy also visited the Muhammad Bin Ghanim Al Ghanim Naval Academy, Naval Base Umm Al Houl, and various ships of the Qatar Amiri Navy. He emphasized the Pakistan Navy’s commitment to regional maritime peace and stability, notably through its participation in the Combined Maritime Forces. The Qatari authorities acknowledged and appreciated the Pakistan Navy’s contributions to ensuring the maritime security of the region.

The meetings are expected to enhance the defense relationship between the two countries, particularly in naval operations, contributing to greater security and cooperation in the maritime sector of the region.
