Prime Minister of Pakistan Set for Strategic Visit to China

Islamabad, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled for an official visit to China from 4-8 June 2024, following an invitation from Chinese leaders. This visit underscores the ongoing strategic partnership between Pakistan and China.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The visit will include stops in Beijing, Xi’an, and Shenzhen, where the Prime Minister will engage in talks with key Chinese officials including President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang, aimed at bolstering the multifaceted Pakistan-China partnership. Discussions will focus on enhancing bilateral ties across various sectors including trade, investment, security, energy, and technology.

A significant part of the agenda is the advancement of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and increasing cooperation in science, education, and cultural exchanges. The Prime Minister will also address the China-Pakistan Business Forum in Shenzhen, emphasizing economic and agricultural cooperation.
