Shehbaz Sharif Applauds Spain’s Recognition of Palestinian Statehood

Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed his approval following the announcement by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez that Spain will recognize Palestine as an independent state. The decision, which Sharif views as a significant development on the international stage, comes amid ongoing conflicts in the region.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Sharif praised Spain’s recognition, stating it as a pivotal step towards justice for Palestinians and a rejection of historical oppressions by Israel. He also highlighted the recent violent incidents in the region, condemning an attack by Israeli forces that resulted in the deaths of 45 Palestinians, underscoring the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

Sharif’s statement further solidifies Pakistan’s position in supporting Palestinian sovereignty and its quest for recognition as an independent state on the global platform.
