Karachi, Governor of Sindh, Kamran Khan Tesuri, at a suhri event for social media activists, outlined a series of philanthropic and educational initiatives, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to public welfare and IT education across the province.
According to Sindh Governor House, during the event, Governor Tesuri elaborated on various programs undertaken under his tenure, including the distribution of rations to three and a half lakh (350,000) people and the provision of IT education to 50,000 children without any cost. He mentioned the success of the ‘Bail of Hope’ initiative, designed to offer immediate assistance to the needy, with around one hundred and eighty thousand beneficiaries so far.
The Governor highlighted the government’s efforts in expanding IT education, stating that 10,000 people have already registered for IT courses in Hyderabad, with plans to extend these classes to other cities in Sindh. These measures are part of a broader vision to implement the principles of the Madinah state, aiming for a more just and supportive governance model.
Tesuri also shared insights into the significant number of people, around 300,000, who will break their fast at the Governor’s House during Ramadan, underscoring the open-door policy for the public. He reflected on the need for vocal opposition to injustice to improve the city’s condition and reiterated the goal of self-sufficiency for the region’s youth through educational and employment schemes.
Moreover, the Governor disclosed initiatives like free health insurance and Umrah trips for the underprivileged, showcasing a holistic approach to governance that includes immediate welfare measures and long-term educational and economic development plans.
