Turkish General Receives Nishan-i-Imtiaz (M) Award for Strengthening Defense Ties with Pakistan

Islamabad, In a significant acknowledgment of international military cooperation, President Asif Ali Zardari today awarded the Nishan-i-Imtiaz (Military) to General Metin Gurak, the Chief of General Staff of Turkiye. The ceremony, held at Aiwan-e-Sadr, was to honor General Gurak’s contributions to bolstering defense relations between Pakistan and Turkiye.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the prestigious award recognizes General Gurak’s exceptional services in enhancing the strategic partnership between the two nations. The event was attended by notable figures including the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, alongside high-level civil and military officers, foreign diplomats, and parliamentarians, reflecting the importance of the occasion.
