Punjab Food Authority Office Inaugurated in Murree to Ensure Food Safety for Tourists

Lahore, A good step has been taken by Chief Minister Punjab for domestic and foreign tourists. On the order of Chief Minister Punjab, Food Minister Punjab Bilal Yasin inaugurated the Food Authority office in Murree. With the efforts of DG Food Authority Asim Javed, the Punjab Food Authority office was established in Murree and made fully functional.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, Food Minister Punjab Bilal Yasin stated that the objective of setting up the Food Authority office at the popular tourist spot is to ensure thorough inspection of food quality. Murree, being a center of attraction for domestic and foreign tourists in Pakistan, will now have its food points closely monitored. The Minister added that by blocking the entrances of Murree, meat and milk coming from adjacent areas will be checked.

All types of food businesses, including restaurants, cafes, tea shops, and stores, will be inspected. Ensuring high quality and zero tolerance against substandard products is a top priority. The health of tourists and the provision of quality food are paramount. Food business operators are urged to refrain from adulteration of food and to ensure the implementation of rules. Tourists are advised to check the items before buying them and to report any complaints to the Food Authority Helpline 1223.
